Community IT - Christmas Giveaway 2020

Congratulations on being chosen as one of the recipients of our 2020 Christmas Giveaway.

Due to the logistics of giving away so many devices around Christmas time, we are requiring all recipients to schedule a time that they will pickup to ensure that we have the ability to get computers ready for you to pickup.

You can find the booking section at the bottom of this page. Please, before booking – read the important information in the next few paragraphs.

This computer giveaway is run by the Community IT project, in conjunction with TQ IT Solutions / Doctor IT Computer Services, who donated all of the items and labour required to get the computers ready to give away. Community IT’s sole focus is to provide technology to those who wouldn’t usually be able to obtain such items. Community IT or our team, partners or associated companies will never ask you for money in conjunction with a giveaway, and any information you provide to us is kept in the strictest of confidence, in line with our privacy policy.

The computers provided in this giveaway are ex-lease business machines, purchased by our partner company. They are listed as “standard office machines” with Windows 10 Professional, and include 1x Computer Chassis, 1x monitor and 1x Keyboard and Mouse combo. These computers are best suited to standard use, such as internet browsing, watching videos and word processing.

If this does not suit your usage profile, please let us know so we can re-provision these computers to someone more suitable.

There is no implied warranty or provided technical support included with these computers. We have tested that they are in working condition prior to leaving our premises, however if you receive a device that does not work at all, please do let us know by phoning us on 0508 COMMUNITY. The DoctorIT team may also be able to help with limited support requests by phoning 0800 4 IT FIX, however due to the time of year, we cannot guarantee the service level we can provide.

Due to time constraints, we have not been able to clean these computers and their peripherals to the standard that we would usually require. We have carried out the minimal cleaning required (using sticker remover to take off customer identifable stickers & wiping down high touch surfaces such as buttons with anti-bacterial wipes as per our COVID-19 protocol). We do suggest using a low-grade home cleaning product to wipe these devices down once you receive them.

Devices need to be picked up from the TQ IT Solutions office, which is located at Level 2, 48 Enterprise Street, Birkenhead. We cannot guarantee that a staff member will be present for your chosen booking time. If we are out, your computer will be left outside of our office door with your name on it for pickup.

The final time for pickup of devices will be Wednesday the 22nd of December at midday. If your device is not picked up by this time, it will be reallocated. Please also note, if you make an appointment to pickup, but do not attend, and do not advise us prior, we will also reallocate the device.

Please book a pickup time, using the booking system below. Please be advised that you must book at least 24 hours ahead, as we need time to prepare the device. The form will automatically default you to the next day, but please do not pick an earlier time than 24 hours in advance as we may not be able to prepare the computer in time.
